The Hawk and the Eagle
The road to the original source of knowledge is silence. Meditation and prayer for a better understanding of our future survival as humans.
How can we grasp the true essence of our human mission? Today, choosing a quiet moment makes us a part of the endangered species, while mental noises (such as permament streaming and cellphonealing) destroy our mind! Of course, we all play in such different fields of consciousness, at least if we choose awareness in our daily existence. Even when we have a balanced belief system, we may consider that it is stronger than the neighbor’s faith and that we defend the greater truth. Do we? If there is a spirit in a bottle, how does such a miracle defend human development of our consciousness and who opens that bottle? The present moves on the world’s chessboard are very confusing. The flags of global warming are up and very provocative news media offer explanations that are at odds with the truth of what the natives or local inhabitants are agreeing to.
The fires in Europe and the USA, as recently on the Hawaiian island of Maui are a disastrous example, but there is not only one tip and one iceberg! Countless new movies and aggressive television series packed with violence and nuclear threats taken on victoriously by the three letter agency’s heroes paint a tapestry no political party would like to hang from their office wall. Yet they do! Ridiculous amounts of (virtual?) money are being used on wars while millions of homeless have dressed the streets of world capitals with tents of state fueled disgrace, lacking all empathy when not used for a political campaign.
Generations will remember the 1967/68 effect of the meditations by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (a self-declared lover of Christ!) with millions chanting for peace, through his consciousness movement; the impact was stunning. The creativity of artists like Donovan or the Beatles sky rocked and countless were inspired by the silence in their clouds of reflection activating many similar movements for spirituality, world-wide.
The people choose to pick their time for inner mirroring and how their personal version of silence will bring comfort and answers. So, it is long overdue to have a “national prayer/ meditation day” to change the present reality. A victory over today’s manipulation of people’s minds. Whatever their religious beliefs, the genuine intent for truth bursts forward from the earnest heart of each human being and the outcome will be overwhelming. While family comes first, our furry friends claim their spot on our couch and open a window to a concert of birdsongs to quiet our minds.
It reminds us how the indigenous cultures give animals a major importance and their symbols in daily life are considered to represent truth and self-awareness. Native Americans suggest when you see a Hawk it may be time to move on from the outlived paradigm and under an affectionate, vigilant protection of those big wings, the Eagle represents Spirit and freedom.
From psychology legend Carl Jung we learned that we naturally search for a noisy environment, for we are needy for human company and the comfort and safety of the group to justify our survival issues. But being in solitude is not a dangerous feat! Listening to our own inner voice does not have to be enigmatic. What we discover about our own power and strength, and inner knowledge embedded in the veins of our DNA, may be puzzling. As humans, we have been told since the beginning of time we have no power or freedom as we are always enslaved by busyness, void of authority. One of the greatest masters of the arts and science, Leonardo da Vinci noted: “Nothing strengthens authority so much as silence.” So let us search the skies for the majestic wings hovering over us, when in doubt or lacking motivation to face yet another one of life’s challenges. Find an eagle feather to draw upon the power of the wings you need to fly or draw your own vivid thoughts on a canvas or a sheet of paper, your ink being the fuel of your heart. It is the understanding of your own story first that will help us appreciate we are not alone in this battle for the consciousness of the human soul on this planet and we all need to make our own stand!
